After a combined 7864 jumps and 3500 calories burned, a team of sponsored skippers from Datcom, Lincolnshire based IT and cyber security company raised over £2000 for the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance last week in a fundraising Skipathon.Against the backdrop of the gleaming ambucopter poised for take-off at LNAA Head Quarters in Lincoln, the team jumped rope - relay style, to raise much-needed funds for the charity.Earlier in the year Datcom made the LNAA their company ‘Charity of the Year,’ and this was the first in a programme of fundraiser events to be held throughout the year to help in the mission to save lives across the region. As a charity, the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance receives no direct Government funding and relies solely on public donations to fund their day-to-day operations. Yet, in order to maintain operations in attending some of the most serious and critical 999 calls in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, the charity must raise £7.4 million pounds this year. Tanya Taylor, Corporate Partnership Manager, Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance commented:“We’d like to say a huge thank you to the Datcom team for their efforts and tremendous energy! This has been an incredibly busy time for our air ambulance crew, in fact we have now got a secondary operational ambucopter attending some of the most critical incidents occurring on the roads in our region. It is only through the help of local people donating and the support from businesses like Datcom, that we can maintain our high level of services and ensure our team is available to help where it is needed the most.”Datcom Sales Director and Event Organizer, Hannah L. Sang commented:“We have been overwhelmed by the support and generosity from our clients in supporting our fundraising efforts. We had set a target of raising £3500 throughout the year, which is the cost of a single LNAA mission - we have achieved nearly/half that in our first event! We have been really humbled by getting a glimpse behind the scenes of LNAA Head Quarters today. The highly specialist skills of the medics and phenomenal service they provide is really second-to-none, and in an emergency situation any one of us may need their help.”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OKPAdy7sI0
The East Midlands is packed with amazing and successful businesses – all of which are different and unique in the way they conduct themselves and achieve their goals. One thing that many of these businesses do have in common is that they choose to use Managed IT Services.
Datcom have provided our charity HWLincs with IT support, guidance, advice and solutions for the past seven years. We have always found them to be approachable, professional and reliable, always responding promptly when needed. During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, the Datcom team went out of their way to ensure all our staff had full remote IT access to enable them to continue working seamlessly, the IT support provided during this time was exceptional. We would definitely recommend Datcom.

Our small chartered surveying practice went to Datcom after a cyber attack that caused significant damage to the IT systems. Since they became our IT support, the business has strengthened with improved cybersecurity, along with upgraded IT systems. In response to Covid-19, we successfully transitioned to home working within a few days thanks to the support from Datcom. Throughout our working relationship they have provided a professional and prompt service, and have our confidence.
We use Datcom for third-line support and advice when planning for growth and development. They always offer considered and well-thought-out ideas and suggestions. They are like an extension of our own team.
We have a 24-hour operation and Datcom have provided the system and expertise to keep our systems up and running. We have confidence in the fact that an engineer is available through their extended hours service 24/7.
