Andrew Townsend

Managing Director

Andrew is Managing Director of Datcom and has led the business since its founding in 2011.

He works closely with the board of directors, setting the vision and strategic goals, while also working with the engineering and support teams to deliver excellent and creative services and solutions to our clients. Andrew has considerable experience advising a varied portfolio of clients on short and long-term IT strategy.

Andrew has also held various technical roles over the last twenty years and currently specialises in networking, DevOps, automation, development and business processes.

Andrew lives in South Lincolnshire with his wife and four children.

Andy Maddison

Account Manager

Andy is the Account Manager for Datcom and has been with the business since 2011.

He is the liaison and point of contact for all our clients; dealing with strategy, reporting and ensuring that the service levels are kept to the very highest standard.

Andy has worked in all areas of Datcom from IT Junior to Business Development Manager, providing him an extensive range of knowledge and experience. This experience is invaluable in helping Datcom clients with their IT requirements.

Outside of work, Andy is a trustee of, co-ordinator and volunteer chef for a homeless charity. He also enjoys going to the gym, walking, photography and reading.

Gary Williams

Technical Director

Gary Williams is the Technical Director at Datcom and has been with the business since 2011.

He works in tandem with the board of directors and the technical teams to ensure the levels of excellence achieved in the work we perform at Datcom is of the highest level. He makes sure we utilise the latest technology for both in-house improvements and the benefit of our varied client base.

Gary has a degree from the University of Derby in Computer Games Modelling and Animation. He joined the business as an IT Junior before progressing through the teams and becoming a director, responsible for the Infrastructure and Network Operations teams. His areas of expertise include Windows environments, Microsoft 365 and Virtualisation.

Gary is a very keen football fan, having supported Liverpool all his life and enjoyed following the (few) highs and (many) lows of the team in recent times. He also enjoys reading novels and watching movies at the cinema.

Hannah Sang

Commercial Director

Having worked with businesses of all sizes from SME to corporates, Hannah is dedicated in delivering excellence. She understands one size does not fit all and the importance of ensuring customer success.

Hannah graduated with a BSc from Leeds University, having studied Environmental Biogeoscience and now lives in Lincolnshire with her husband and two children. She is an avid Formula One fan and often travels to the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Stavelot Belgium, in support of Mercedes.

Richard Pettefar

Account Manager

Richard is an IT Manager for Datcom and has been with the company since 2018.

He works exclusively on Datcom's largest client, acting as Account Manager for the contract and as IT Manager for the dedicated technical team. His responsibilities include managing the day-to-day support requirements as well as working on customer care, strategy and IT improvements with senior board members in both Datcom and his client.

Richard rejoined Datcom in September 2018, having worked for us previously in 2011. He brings 20 years of technical, managerial and account management experience to the business from a finance, public sector and commercial aviation background.

Richard enjoys playing guitar and hiking in the Lakes.

Tom Dodd

Service Delivery Manager

Tom is Service Delivery Manager at Datcom and joined the business as an IT Engineer on the Service Desk. He progressed into a field role carrying out on-site installations for clients across the country before returning to the office and taking his current managerial role since 2015.

As well as being a point of contact for clients, he manages teams within each geographic pod to make sure they are providing the best possible service to clients.

Tom enjoys anything with an engine and regularly participates in and attends motorsport events such as autosolos and track days. He also has a keen interest in photography and videography.
