Cyber Essential & Security

Challenge

Ramco are one of the UK’s largest outlets for miscellaneous and government surplus equipment. They are based in Skegness and came to Datcom looking to achieve their Cyber Essentials accreditation and to increase the general security of their network.

Objectives

• Guide them through the Cyber Essentials accreditation
• Increase user security awareness
• Improve network security

Approach and Solution

A Datcom engineer went to visit the site and completed a full cyber survey. Ramco were then issued with a detailed report with all our findings and recommendations. All of our recommendations were implemented with little or no down time for the end users. We also guided Ramco through the Cyber Essentials accreditation helping them to reach the criteria needed.

Results

Ramco’s systems are now a lot more secure as a result of the work that Datcom have carried out and their staff are more aware of potential security risks.

They have also passed the Cyber Essentials accreditation and are currently awaiting their official certificate.
